I started reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath today.
I'm about six short chapters off the end, but I can't bring myself to read anymore at the moment.
It honestly makes me want to get up and commit suicide.

I've never been a huge fan of Plath's poetry, but this book is just so accurately morbid, it's brilliant.
I'd never reccommend to anyone that they read it though, because i feel absolutely horrific at the moment.
pure_wonderment
Twilight- Stephenie Meyer.

Edward's the ultimate predator, "a vampire [of course] who's golden eyes able to stun and dazzle any female, impossibly perfected beautiful face, velvety voice and even his smell draws you in.." you can't be human if you don't end up falling for him.

Plus he has pale skin and unkept bronze-coloured hair... which reminds me of someone rolleyes.gif
It's a brilliant book smile.gif
Spaceship in the Yard
Emma by Jane Austen

i've just read KATE CANN - in the deep end

REALLY? I haven't read it yet, but I really want to. I didn't know the book was like that. Now I'm a bit afraid - I remember how I felt when I read Hesse's Steppenwolf :/

it's not outright morbid, but like i said it's very accurately morbid. like, the sadness is very real, not the kind of exhaggerated sadness you find in many books.

gawsh I know exactly how you feel. That book I felt was a terrible turn-off. I wanted so badly to kill Daisy.. so thick and so naive (typical 'classic'). If you haven't yet seen the movie.. don't. Just don't.

At moment I'm completing my Stephenie Meyer craze with the third and final book 'Eclipse'. There's going to be a fourth apparently due out in the states in August yahoo.gif

I'm reading the book The Kite Runner and the manga comics Katekyo Hitman REBORN!, Tokyo Babylon and One Piece.

Ahh! I just started reading 'Twilight' after all the hype, and I have to admit I like it a lot more than I hoped I would.

I'm quite interested to see what the movie adaptation's going to be like. Blatant suckfest, probably.

Yeh it's true, I couldn't believe how many people I knew were absolutely maniacal for Edward and was smacked a fair few times when I mentioned the 'f' word being 'fictional' when questioning the Edward-hype.
I failed miserably in not attaching myself to him. Marvelous character he is.

Yeh I'm really concerned about the film version of twilight, I mean Robert Pattinson as Edward?! *shakes head disapprovingly* I honestly don't believe any human could play him.

I'm reading the December issue of Glamour magazine. For all of you girls on the board-check out the American Glamour! You'll love it-it's so much different than Vogue. And the fashions aren't out there-you can actually wear these clothes. And they even added a more affordable section where no item is less than $100!

Not anymore, sadly. It seems whenever I start a new book, my English teacher gives out something the class has to read, this time Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett.

I'm reading Rudyard Kipling's 'Puck Of Pook's Hill' at the moment and it is amazing.

At the same time I'm attempting to finish George Orwell's 'Burmese Days', which is less than amazing. One of my favourite authors, but there's no denying that this is plain gash.

Neil Gaiman - "American Gods" (I've read it about a milion times. Aparently it wasn't enough, so I'm going to read it once again). happy.gif
