Many thanks to Nadj and Cherry Blossom Girl for alerting us to a new Vines interview that just aired on MTV France. The interview is with Hamish, Craig and Ryan and takes place in the W&G offices. Topics discussed include Patrick leaving the band and the Vines newest single, 'Anysound.'

Okay, so as I thought some of u might b interested in what they were talkin about, im gonna tell u that in a few lines

Well, about what they said in that interview, we spoke bout this yesterday on the video request thread i think: Hamish burnin durin the dont listen to the radio vid (especially durin the chorus, where hes so close to those huge lights poor Hamish...) and Craig sayin Anysound was a philosophal song, almost poetry... And Craig talkin bout how they got back... He said its been difficult cause they didnt really know what they actually were going to do... Especially since Pat had left ("he had prefered to leave the band for another one") and in sayin that i felt a somewhat sound of regret in his voice but Nadj thinks it actually was anger... So well c... i donno.. I asked my brother and he agreed with me

There is the traslation, look it's not what Craig or Hamish was saying, it's the translation of the guys talk, so if you try you could listen some part when Craig or Hamish are talking! ENJOY!!

China : The Aussies rocker have done their 3rd album last April
"Vision Valley" made the Vines one of the talentous rock band
The band has been very reserved when this album came out , on tv or even in concert, not any gig has been expected in france
The leader-singer Craig Nicholls is sic, he has like an autism, the interviews of the vines are very rare and Mtv News has the chance to meet them


Craig : Going back to studio for recording "vision valley" was awesome, it's been a while that we didn't do anything so it was cool to make new songs

Now i tell you why Patrick left the band, we all think that we should break for a while so, Patrick doubt and he prefers play with an other band

DLTTR talks about technologic, our way to live our lives ... that could be very speed

Hamish: there was a lot of lights when we shot the video ewpecially of the chorus moment, i was to close it was like i was roasting in a oven in my house, it's hot

Craig: the song "anysound" is quite philosophical, it's almost poetry .

Hamish: the clip was made by Olivier Gondry, michel Gondry's brother , they also made "ride" and "WD"'s video.
We filmed ourselves playing and we send them the video like that they create our part in miniature. It will look like "Team america" or " full ,numbers ???" so it must be great!

nadia said they usually use subtitles to explain what they're saying, but this time they used a french translator.

don't they understand how much we miss craig's bizarro accent? it's its own language anyway.

NO NO NO i said that in Mtv germany they use subtitles, mtv france they are DUMB they always use french translator! look everyday i'm watching the mtv news in germany like that if it pass, i'll record it and we'll just have the subtitles! ( praying for the interview to pass this week!)

Yeah in youtube a swedish girl told me that she saw it in her mtv but she did not ripped it!!!
