^ I like him, I thought he was interesting and kinda humoured me.
- I'm supposed to read 1984 for an AP english class this summer actually
- Do you read a lot?
Yes, continually I read several books. I had trouble getting into 1984 in the beginning, it had alot
of his romance and seemingly dull stuff. But once you got by that it broke open this amazing story
of government control like no other for its day. Today it is even more relevant because so much has come to pass.
I would read it now if I were you. We have much of the technology today - face recognition
and more like the under the skin trackers - Most pets here in the US are now tagged - In case you lose them.
I have heard of people getting chips implanted at bars for fun. Also, children - In case you lose them.
Anyways, I do like old books. Get them at thrift stores & yard sales. The Library tends to only keep up to date books (to change history like 1984). They buy at top retail price, then sell for profit extras/old ones.
I like to see what people were reading 100 or 200 years ago. One old science book, reported that the newest breakthrough was DDT. The miracle chemical. ... Before Marie Currie and her husband realized the dangers of radiation - they carried the stuff in their pockets!
