Well, i was thinking, because The Vines are having limited to no touring in their future, will they be spending more time in the studio, and will albums be more frequent? All the albums so for The Vines have been two years apart because of heavy promotion, so can we expect albums every year, or maybe even every 6 months?

that'd be cool,we wouldn't have to wait that long for the new stuff

plus recording is what Craig likes so he's gonna be happy too

I hope so! It'd make sense though coz Craig's always saying in interviews and stuff that he wants to get back in the studio and record more songs and release heaps of albums. That would be amazing.

Maybe they can wind up Vision Valley by September and release a new cd just in time for Christmas.

Every 6 months sounds rather optimitic

but how awesome would that be??? But it costs money to get studio time and all... and I don't know how quickly Craig comes up with songs, but from what Hamish said it seems there are already more songs. But maybe it would be more like every 1 1/2 years or so? I really have no idea how this works, but more frequent vines albums? Bring it on!!!

Oh that would be awesome. Like the soul music singers in the 60's-70's who used to release albums every 6 monthes. In the music industry today you have sometimes to wait a few years before a new album ( Radiohead !).
But the VV sales weren't huge and it costs much money to make an album so maybe Capitol wouldn't follow.

Dear God.
They aren't Ryan Adams, ferchrissakes.
I just want them to make a fourth album, and I wouldn't give a shit if it meant I'd have to wait 5 years.

So wouuld I, but I'd rather have it sooner then later, you know? I'm not saying they better do this or I won't be a vines fan, i just think it would be quite nice.
I think also that Craig would like to do this, but he won't have full support from a record company.

I'm not saying that. Craig said that he has thirty demos and fourty songs that haven't been released, why can't he release them and write more songs in that time and release a album with songs that he wrote during that time after that?

I dunno, maybe they need to record them, some may not be cd quality. a lot of things can get in the way. Just getting one song CD ready takes a lot of effort, time and not to mention money. Not saying the guys cant do it, but Capitol isnt really jumping out of their chair right now for them

I think they could be a little more frequent. Just the label and stuff

. And writing songs takes time, and working them out to be the way they want them. Afterall, Craig is more of a 'studio artist'

Yeah to make songs is a complicated and a long work (i'm in a band so i can understand them) but i just hope they will make many many many albums, even if they take long time, i prefer it, never listen to them anymore will be awful for me

the vines should open their own record label so they can release whatever the hell they want and when

Id donate to the vines independent foundation

they should do what smashing pumpkins did..record an album but only make a few copies and give it to people who can spread it on the internet

I hope their next album is really expiremental, after seeing that old 2002 interview in the latest email from Dreamin The Insane where he says something like he doesnt mind expirementing with electronica in the future.

I'd rather wait a few years for an album worth listening to than being bombarded with mediocre albums every few months. I think the extra time they spend in the studio (assuming they do spend extra time in the studio) shouldn't be spent putting out new albums faster but putting more thought and effort into making albums in their existing time frame of around 2 - 3 years.

Um...they I don't think they need time making the songs "cd ready", maybe more time to write better songs........the going gone and gross out demos were just fine.......personally i like them better

I hope we don't get more frequent albums because the songs won't be as good, they'll sound like they're rushed and be better off as b-sides.
