Mine is a Red-Eared Slider. I believe they all carry that bacteria. I always clean my hands thoroughly when handling him.

I've always wanted a pet turtle. I knew he had snakes and lizards, I guess he must have a thing for reptiles.

lol I remember having frogs when I was younger and they would be so dang loud that I wold throw books at the wall(no I wasen't trying to hit them, just to keep them quiet ) to get them to stop croaking. I gave them back to the pet store after 2 monthes cause I wasen't getting enough sleep
