A good program to rip audio off video is ImTOO Audio Encoder. Just download the trial version and you'll be good to go .

What type of file did you try to encode it to? Select the encoder to "Lame mp3 Encoder" on the pull down menu towards the bottom of the window.

I'm totally agree with you, that's the first time i hear a cover version better than the original (even if the original is cool too) I LOVE THIS SONG ! Craig sings so well in (of course not only on this song)
