I saw something similar to this done at another band forum, and thought it'd be fun to try here. The idea is to arrive at the top Vines song following these *cough* highly scientific methods...

For one week, we'll run a poll for peeps to vote on their favorite track off 'Highly Evolved.' After that time, we'll do a poll for 'Winning Days' for a week, followed by 'Vision Valley,' and finally Vines b-sides and demos (cos no way should they get the shaft as good as some of them are ). After we've closed the polls, the top 3 songs from each will then go head-to-head to see which comes out on top.

I chose "Country Yard" for the heck of it. I seem to listen to it more then the others it seems..

CCC made it so complicated tho - and the thing went on forever. i'm not even sure which song eventually won.

1969, easily. Just because we always listen to that one when we're driving aimlessly around Brandon, stoned out of our minds. It has this really great circular feel to it (if that makes any sense) when it starts speeding up.

After debating with myself between six or seven songs, I finally chose Homesick. It was my favourite in the beginning and the one I keep coming back too. The lyrics are very simple, but it always puts me in a good mood no matter how many times I've listened to it.

I chose 1969, but I was stuck between that, Homesick, and In the Jungle.

And no matter how hard I try, I cant sing In the Jungle.
Its so hard.

i voted 'factory' i dont know. i could have chosen any of them really. but i had that one in my head when i was reading this

GO FACTORY!!! I don't know if its necissarly my favorite song, but I couldn't choose so I picked the song that had the most plays off of higly evolved on my Itunes and Fatory had 89.

i cant believe nobody has voted for Aint no Room yet, it was between that and Outtathaway, but i chose outathaway

I voted "Ain't No Room" because it looked lonely. Hard choice, though, usually I can't decide, but it looked lonely.

Plus, I can play that song on the guitar, and I LOVE bending the frets to it, because it's so fun.

So, that's my choice.

my choice is in the lead. and my least favorite song from the album is close on its tail.

One time I was waiting for class to start outside and someone mentioned that the "sun's shinin'" and I burst out in song. Everyone gave me funny looks and the teacher stopped talking (midsentence) and stared at me. It was quite embarrassing.

First time i heard Mary Jane was in your avatar. Yup. I was watching that channel V interview, and i heard this song playing in the background, and i thought it sounded pretty neato. I didnt know the name of it tho, i didnt find that out untill later on.
But that was my introduction to Mary Jane. Obviously that was before i got the album.

awesome! My first introduction was listening to it on amazon you know the samples and i like fell off my chair it was so beautiful. yeah i know not very exciting but still first time i heard it. and i remember telling myself that i absolutely can't like it the best because Craig does and I should like something else but its out of my control.

In The Jungle isn't bad (If that's the one you mean is your least favorite.. lol), I pretty much like them all, I guess I just wanted to be a rebel and vote for the one that had no votes, otherwise I probably wouldn't have voted at all, because it's so hard to decide.





I love all of the Channel V performances, and the inteview. Craig seemed so happy, that day, and it really showed in the performance.

I dont know what youre talking about but I thought Id add that salvador doli is an amazing artist!!

dali is quirky beyond belief!!! dali was known for carrying around or wearing a 6in. piece of wood tied to his belt because he believed the stick warded off germs. he also claims he spoke to aliens, but my favorite dali story is that one time he gave a lecture wearing one of those huge scuba gear outfits - y'know the kind that looks like an astronaut's suit. the story goes the audience could hardly hear him, obvs, but he also go so hot inside the suit he nearly passed out.

dali looked at life differently from most people, you can see that in his paintings, and he had no qualms going about his life differently from most people - maybe that's why craig identifies so much with him.

okay, back on topic - only two more days to vote for HE, and then we're moving on to WD.
