Ska is a type of music that is like rock and reggae combined. I hope I got that right. Horn instruments are prominently used.
theres always talk about whether reggae came out of ska or vice versa
i'd say its more like reggae mixed with dance hall

i like it but only at really specific times, like i have to be driving and it has to be loud otherwise it just doesnt work.

i HATE the album cheer up by reel big fish.
i mean, a little bit of it is alright, and the actual instruments and stuff are alright
but it just sounds so generic.
it makes me mad
there are a few exceptions though, such as drunk again and boss dj, but i like to not count that one since it s a cover

ok, these bands aren't ska but they incorporate lots of ska elements in them....how about sublime and goldfinger? anyone like them?

My friends of the band Solyass used to play ska rock but now they're more rock 'coz theur trompetist left the band

hehe i love ska, its more a mix of punk and reggae as opposed to rock tbh. Download opps i mean buy the odd Rancid album, Mad Caddies are always good as are Operation Ivy. The Refused are pretty good too, though I think they are more punk-ish tbh.
