EDIT: Has anyone else noticed that Hamish's bass drum changes throughout the video? In some shots the Vines' logo is white on black, and in others it's black on white.

Here's a little background on the vid...

The Vines shot the videos “Don’t Listen to the Radio” and “Anysound” on two consecutive days at Fox studios in Sydney. To keep up with the visual theme of the album "Don't Listen to the Radio" was filmed in black and white. For parts of the song the band used a massive rig of about 150 bright white lights which were set up directly behind the drum kit and gave Hamish Rosser an intimate understanding of what the Sunday roast goes through before being carved up for dinner. Essentially it’s a performance video but it also incorporates some very cool computer generated animation. The vid was directed by Josh Logue of Mathematics.

Also..I want to see more co-operation between dot com and dti. DTI is the fan club not the competition Jen. It is official..it's not dot net. I hope this is not a battle to see who is the number one Vines fan cos that would be silly.

You should promote DTI, link to it and even help them..not undermine and form a disliking to a former friend because she is now in a position 'closer' to the band.

oh I got yousendit and youtube confused. That had nothing to do with my post anyway..I'm talking about other things that I've noticed and been told about. There is a rivalry now that makes no sense, although I know why it exists.

ray adds the youtube videos not only to this site, but people are able to add it to their livejournals, myspaces, and whatnot.

what i do for the vines is to help promote the band - not a particular site. you and linda would do well to do the same.

Firstly Fee, JP is not a retard and one of the smartest people I know. He is the one who shared lots of music and video files and helped launch the DTI zine. I would never have gotten into the Vines as I did if it weren't for him.

Secondly in his defense, JP wondered why Jen would post the video as a yousendit file when it was already ripped by DTI and added to the server for all to download with no expiration date. I too was baffled by that.

AND Jen no one asked you to promote DTI but I work hard to promote the band as well as others and all JP was asking is that it would be nice to work as a team. That is the reason we are linked on the .com frontpage.

Linda, that was youtube, not you send it. Youtube is a very good thing.

It was both actually. I was glad it was added to Youtube but it is going to be streamed on .com as well.

Why is that so baffling? Make perfect sense to me. What if a non fan comes along and spots it. What if someone who vauguely heard of the Vines decides to go to YouTube and type in the Vines. Not everyone knows about dti or this site here.

as for the two sites getting along...i thought we did until now. the fact that linda would go to her boyfriend to complain about me and for him to call me out on here as a 'self-promoter' is hurtful and far from the truth. my character means a lot to me, and to take a swipe at who i am and why i do what i can to help the vines hurts more than words can say. but it also says a lot about your character too.
