how though? and for the record, i'm not being sarcastic. andy kent's been playing bass twice as long as patrick, so if the bass seems to mellow or nondescript could that be something to do with the mixing of the album? most vines songs simply aren't bass-heavy or groove oriented so i guess i don't get how having a different bassist would matter so much.

Each bass player has their own style usually, and, Pat had a unique style. Andy, does not carry this style off on Vision Valley and I personally think that the songs lack without Pat's basslines.

I thought that Andy Kent did a very good job of playing in his own style while still including some Pat style bass playing.

Lunastar1979
LOL! That's his sarcasm cuz some girl told him the other day he didn't need to get violent whilst arguing with her. Lol, then he calld her something along the lines of a dumb berk and pointed out how violence was impossible online. It was entertaining to say the least.

I got the impression Patrick was the backbone and stability, the superego if you will, of the group-it should prove interesting to see how his absence is felt......

He was a good co-writer for The Vines, and he's a good embassador for Craig, but let's face it, he's a cry baby.
