This just gets prettier everytime I listen to it! I'm falling head-over-heels in love with this song

One of the best Vines songs ever! Breath taking

It reminds me of 'Sun Child' - not audibly, just the general atmosphere. But whereas I loved 'Sun Child' immediately, it's taking me longer to get into 'Take Me Back'. I am making progress though, and I certainly never disliked it.

Well it definately does have more of a country influence than Sunchild (Craig's other "country rock song" ) but I really do love it. It is so innocent... . I think it works very well, I love how they mix things up like this. Most bands couldn't pull off so many different sounds.

Plus, it's not true country. It's country-like though. I love it

People who think this is country-ish have obviously never heard real country.

has anyone tried to find the meaning of the song? it figured out something but the fact that i might know what it's about is strange cause craig's song are usually not explicit, more like abstract...but does anyone have an idea? just to see if i'm on the right track

Well, what I think it's about is going back in time. Like he wants to be taken back to childhood or something. But then it seems like he's thinking of the future when he says he says the road is long but he knows he can survive.

I was really suprised, Take me Back (along with Vision Valley and Spaceship ), are my favorites right now. Suprised because of all of this about it being a country song.
Its absolutely beautiful and er... lets just say I got a bit emotional listening to it.
What, it's a sad song. Of all on Vision Valley this one gets me the deepest.

Take Me Back definitely has a country influence. Anyone who doesn't hear it eats lead paint. As for the song, it's great.

Yeah, i have no idea. I know what you mean. And plus being all twangy with the geetar... ..alot of poeple may not like that, but they may recruit some heehaw folks.

Those are my favourite three also, if I had to choose just one though I'd say Take Me Back. In my opinion, The Vines ballady songs are the best, like I said... just my opinion.

what good taste in music you have! i agree with ya about the vines ballads being some of their best, and the clash's 'london calling,' which you've got in your av, is one of my all-time favorite albums.
