What program do you use to play an M4V file?

^ That link doesn't work for me. It looks like it's loading but it doesn't do anything, and then if I refresh the page then it brings up all these crazy letters and symbols.

.mov would work on QuickTimes, too. So close!

you need either VLC Player (google for a free download) or iTunes v.6 (google for a free download) and it should open and play for you in either the .m4v or .mov format. the new version of iTunes comes with quicktime so try it.


edit: ray has added the quicktime/.mov file to the download page here. you can click on that, give it a minute or two to open (it takes a little while), then quicktime will open it and play the video. you need quicktime tho.

I downloaded that iTunes thingy - didn't work. I'll try the link in the downloads page.

I've tried it with three different browsers and it just pauses after like 1 second of video and then closes the browser. How do you open it with itunes...cuz I have that. :-\

you need the most recent version of iTunes (it's version 6, which included quicktime). download the clip in the .m4v format to your desktop, and then tell it you want to open it in iTunes and it should play.

It doesn't like me. I've downloaded VLC Player, but when I tried to play the podcast it tells me it has encountered a problem and needs to shut the VLC player down, so I downloaded the quicktime version, but now that's telling me the Quicktime player doesn't have the necessary bits to play it and they're not avaliable on the quicktime server. Poo.

loridae, download the latest version of Quicktime first. then click on the .mov extension link, give it a minute or more to open (it's slow) and then Quicktime should automatically open it and play it for you.

hopefully, you just need the latest version.

Trying it with the quicktime but nothing yet, going to have to cross the fingers.

It worked yes. So far i really like the album but we only heard 6 or 7 songs off of it. I really like Spaceship from the amount i heard. I cant wait to here the full thing.

Oh damn. It worked at my dorm room and I saw a tiny bit of it but then I realized I was wasting mass amounts of money. So I'm trying it on the wireless at the library and it's giving me a REALLY hard time! DAMNIT!
