studies have been made on it since the 80's but its only been recently that they've known what exactly the gluten does
it used to be ignored alot past childhood because it used to be only linked to developmental problems
the fact that it can be bad for adults is basically pretty new stuff they've come out with and when it comes to something like that it usually takes doctors in general a while to get used to checking for it and whatnot
though I'm sure Craig has probably been checked for it seeing as his doctor is a world renowned expert
or at least he probably WILL be checked for it
when it comes to something like autism there are alot of stuff people have to do working on their behavior and getting to understand whats going on before they take such huge steps as completely changing the way they eat
which is even harder for autism patients seeing that they are extremely resistant to change
Ditto to everything you said.
And thats why he needs to take baby steps to a healthier lifestyle.
