ok this is for aussie fans only, seeing that the vines wont really tour do you think they will play at homebake or big day out

im not being bias, but the homebake set 2003 was the best i have seen i was at 2004 and that was good wolfmother stole the show but the 2005 one was a bit boring i think 2006 needs a kick in the ass and the vines r the only aussie band bar silverchair and grinspoon that can rase the bar, it seems soon as aussies acts get any fame they stop acting out and just play there songs and say thanks for coming like eg jet 2004, now i no the vines get payed out for being a bad live act, i think that is untrue i would say they r unconsistant they r really good when they want to be and im hoping the lack of a tour would make them more consistant live and stop all the beat up on the band. but anyway atleast they do more then stand around and just sing, craig jumps and screams like he is part of the crowd and so he loses focus, he is atleast showing emotion. i think a good part of watching them play is you dont no whats going to happen i dont no how many other bands you can say that.

so here is me hoping your album is a winner and you join the homebake and bdo line ups this year cause if u dont go im not going

I don't think The Vines will play at BDO. That's becoming a pretty big event now.. I heard Craig didn't like playing it last time, but I dunno.

I hope they do shows there too (cuz I'm pretty f-in' sure they're not comin' to California ). I might be going there in the summer (may-aug for me haha) and have actually applied to some universities in Australia (UK is too expensive haha). Anyway, if anyone on this forum lives in the greater Sydney area I'll have to get advice on where to stay/live (if I end up going there for two years as a transfer student).

Lol, cuz if I do end up going to school there, it'll suck if I have to live in a hotel before finding a place to live haha. Cuz really I'm not up for living on campus with an 18 year old girl when I'm 21 haha.

It shalln't be that hard to live, you can stay a motel or whatever for a few days/weeks until you find a place to rent. Srsly, you'll need to share the rent cost with 1 or more people, it will cost alot to rent.

Yeah, pretty much the most I can pay is like $800US a month...and that's like the most for rent...but I'd rather get a place and choose a roommate, than be given one by a university haha.

Ahh, okay. That's, like, over $1k Aus. Pretty sure that'd be enough for a month If you share it'd be plenty!

Yeah, I wasn't really sure how the exchange was...but I just assumed since our money is worth more, maybe things cost more haha.

both of those events are so far off, they probably haven't thought that far down the road yet. should the album do well, they'd probably be open to homebake for sure.

I would like to think, seen as they won't really be touring, that they'd do the major festivals around the world. That way the fans get a chance to see them lplay the new stuff live, but it doesn't mean being on the road for 18 months. I personally think it would be a good idea.
