Handmade Valentine's Day Cards from Your Favorite Musicians

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and we know that many of you are filled with disgust. But this year, you don't have to feel sorry for yourself, because we have a little treat for you that we hope will make you realize that there are more important issues than being lonely on what is, frankly, a ridiculous holiday.
Receiving cheesy cards from friends is about the only cool thing that happens on Valentine's Day. And although we're not about to pretend that The Vines, Franz Ferdinand, The Magic Numbers, and The White Stripes' Meg White are in any way close to being your buddies, we can say with certainty that they've all designed unique Valentine's Day cards for PETA's "Have a Heart for Animals" Campaign.
Starting with a blank heart-shaped card, The Vines' card is signed by all the band members and has drawings of animals, including a fish, a rabbit, and a lion, as well as the band's logo. Franz Ferdinand's card is also a joint effort, with signatures from the band appearing alongside drawings of dogs. The Magic Numbers' card is filled with hearts and good wishes, and Meg White simply signed her name in support of the campaign.
Now it's your turn to spread the word about being kind to animals. No, we won't force you to break out the scissors, magic markers, and colored construction paper, but we would like for you to send peta2's Valentine's Day e-card to everybody you know. If doing us a favor and simultaneously making us proud isn't what you're going for, then at least send it to your loved ones so that they know you're alive and well on this most dreaded of holidays.

PETA campaign co-ordinator Anita Singh said: "These big-hearted stars are helping us spread the simple message that we should all act with kindness towards animals."
She added: "Whether a pig or a dog, a mouse or a whale, all animals have the same capacity to feel, and we hope people will extend their circle of compassio
