What made you want to get into the music biz Ang?
I think the photography one sounds kinda cool. Or, you could always write for music mags or something along those lines, since you're involved with a bit of journalism already.

Yea, so far, I think I figured out that you're in to writing (you're good at it, too) so go for it! Photography is pretty nifty as well.

Mmkay...so I just wrote my local radio station to ask them to bring the Vines to NY....God I hope they respond and they don't think I'm a total lunatic...

We love the Vines too. It’s all up to the band’s agent and manager to send them to Albany. We do what we can to bring bands here and will certainly try. Thanks for the suggestion.

They probably wont even do anything.

there's not much else you can do - they're saying they'd support a show if mgmt booked them to play in the area. these things slice both ways - the band needs the radio station to promote the gig, while the radio station likes to have bands coming into town to promote to listeners. they get more listeners by offering to give away tix to the such-and-such #caller etc.

i'm betting the band and mgmt are waiting to see how things go with these UK and oz dates - ie. how the band is received and how craig copes - and then they'll look into more dates...possibly in the US.

well, if you think that then make a whole bunch of fake email accounts and write them in more
