Really? the acoustic version of Ms Jackson is the only one I know (In addition of Oukast's original song).

i thought mine might have been different but i just checked then and it sounds pretty acoustic
I just did some research on this matter and found that Ms. Jackson has been released twice; once on the 'Outtathaway!' single and once on 'Deep Cuts'. According to Wikipedia and Last fm, the Outtathaway! version lasts for 3:30 and the Deep Cuts version lasts for 3:33. So these releases must be the same version.
However, I have two versions;
• the one with the drums/bass/keys, which lasts for 3:30.
• the more acoustic sounding one, which lasts for 3:57.
I listened to both versions overlapped and while the vocals are identical in both versions, I found that:
• In the drums/keys/bass version, the vocals begin after 14 seconds whereas in the acoustic version, they begin after 30 seconds (therefore the acoustic version has a 16 second longer intro)
• In the acoustic version there is a 11 second instrumental between "...apoligised a trillion times..." and "me and your daughter..." whereas there isn't this gap between verses in the drums/keys/bass version
These differences account exactly for the 27 second time difference.
So now it appears that, time wise, that the drums/keys/bass version was the version that was released on Deep Cuts/the Outtathaway single. But now I'm wondering, where did acoustic version come from if it's so widespread that it's the version most people have?
