But anyway, I wonder what will happen to The Vines' website, it hasn't been updated in ages and it's probably still owned and managed by Capitol.

Gettting out there volunteering and supporting the comunity and all that jazz, being a part of a team, helping to save the world, yes i think there really would be a lot of benefits to joining up!!!

Why they might be annoying

David Oliffe doesn't like to tour, so other members needed to be recruited.
The first night they ever toured, they vandalized a hotel room by smashing a lamp with a phone.
Craig Nicholl's got in a fight with people twenty minutes after checking into a hotel when he was told there was a McDonald's and discovered there wasn't one.
He rolled around on the pavement to reflect and describes himself as screaming like a high pitched witch.
Craig Nicholl's who claims he smokes banana peels, seems to have a huge need for attention.
They band almost broke up when one of their CDs did not do as well as they expected.
Why they might not be annoying
They sound a lot like Smashing Pumpkins.
They met in high school.
They get along in their own obnoxious ways.
They all worked at McDonald's.
Craig Nicholl's wanted to name the band The Vines after his Dad's '60's band 'The Vynes.'
They made their debut in the United States at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
They received five Australian Aria Awards.

The worst concerts I've ever attended
2 THE VINES Metropol, Pittsburgh 11.20.02 This was around the time that all the "The" bands were making headlines - The Hives, The Strokes, The Vines, etc. I was excited to see these guys, but they were awful. They literally played about 75% ballads. I was stunned. At one point singer Craig Nicholls tried to be a badass and took off his shirt, but that resulted in widespread laughter at his mushy physique. When they finished, they smashed their instruments, an absurd gesture given how lame the show was. It was almost as if they were trying to be a parody of a rock band.
