I want to know if somebody wachted Memoirs of a Geisha or read the book...I did it's a fantastic story !!

I haven't seen the film yet - I don't know if it's out in the UK - but I'm really looking forward to it. The book was one of the best I read last year...I devoured it in just a few days, and I recommend it highly.

I saw it and I gotta say I definately enjoyed it. I never read the book though, so I don't know what you guys would be expecting. I do know that the movie is usually not as good as the book.

because in crouching tiger it wasnt actually made in english. they dubbed it. and I'm quite sure it was set in China

and the main girl from memoirs? she's also chinese. I saw a little red carpet moment with her on E channel. she was talking about how great it was that chinese actresses have the chance to show the world what they can do.

so i really don't know where this is going.

EDIT: it's just that at school most of my friend circle is asian. then we have this white girl. so we say she counts because she's "caucasian". yeah its dry i know.

I had a few friends in highschool who were asian. At my highschool most of the asian kids usually just segregated themselves from everyone else. All the other races pretty much mixed with everyone. So I was asian enough to befriend the asian kids but I mixed with everyone else too. I'm only 1/4 Chinese. I was born in China though.

I look Indian. But, I'm not. my ex always called me Mogli
But I guess thats what you get when you mix Chinese, Tribal Mexican, and French. I have medium brown skin and black hair, and asian features...except for my nose. I ended up with a french nose.

I've never been to India, but I'd like to go someday. I'm very mixed up. I've got bits of African, Irish, Scottish, and Native American in me too. But, they're just little bits.

there is a couple of nice places. but you should never back pack in india. seriously. only go if you have heaps of money and can afford to stay in at least a 4 star hotel.
