Check it! The Vines, via the very wonderful Andy Kelly, have sent a special holiday message to fans. As if that weren't enough, they also want you guys to know that we can look forward to a new Vines album in March or April 2006! user posted image

Thanks a lot for all of your help and support over the past year, and thanks to everyone for their patience. I promise the wait will be worth it. The guys finish recording in the first week of January, and the album will be mixed by the end of January. The very exciting news is that we are looking at a March/April release date. Please see the attachment from the chaps for everyone, and again, thanks to all of you for your support, the band really genuinely appreciate it – as do I.

sadly, there's truth to that.

while their mgmt may check out the various vines forums on the web, chances are slim to none the band do (except hamish, maybe). but even if they don't visit their fansites, they're obviously aware of and appreciate those of us who do squander our lives on their fan forum.

Awww, that's so sweet of the guys and Andy to do that for us! They really do treat their fans so well - I love 'em for the music, but this is just the icing on the chocolate mud cake with extra cream

And the April/March release date?!?!?!?!

That's the best news I've heard in a long while! Wow! I was expecting the album to be released around June/July, so knowing we'll be able to get it a couple of months early is the best christmas present I could get

(mind you, my xmas present for this year was getting a virus cleaned off my computer, so it doesn't have much competition as far as 'best present' is concerned

) . You know this means that we should be expecting a single in the next 2 or 3 months....

. Brilliant! And I wonder if the guys will be up to maybe doing a small Sydney show early next year
