Pretty self-explanatory.
I would like to buy either:

- an ipod video
- a sony netword walkman hard drive 5 (nw-hd5)
- an ipod nano

Im really stuck on which one to pic... unsure.gif
Please help me out - vote an give me a reason on which one you chose. And if you have one, just give me some good/bad points about it.
Thanks, smile.gif

Get a CD player.

totally agree with Comradestripes smile.gif

No, I have loads of music and I switch constantly so I need 1 of the 3 mentionned.

My Cd player only complicated things (re-writing a cd-rw every 4 days with my new set of songs really was a pain in the ass...)

Haha, I give 3 choices... 1 person says which 1 not to get n the others tell me so get something else tongue.gif

Keep the opinions coming!

Why not buy CDs?
wonkytooth
i don't want to see CDs go the way of vinyl. sad.gif can't say as i miss cassettes tho. mellow.gif

if you must have your music thru the computer only, my rec would have to be ipod video only because that's what i know and like and use (well, i've got an old skool ipod, no video). the only problem is i started my ipod library on one computer, that one died, and i was screwed starting up again on another one. something to keep in mind - you can't transfer songs between itunes libraries.

tinks bought some cute little mp3 player that's the size of an ice cube. no, really. maybe she'll chime in with her opinions about it.

my PSP is my MP3 player of choice....cool.gif

Yeah i see many points of view.
Talkin about them little mp3 players, I broke 3 by mis-formatting them... 900RMB (chinese money) thrown out.
And as for Mo (whats your real name?) Iv given up video games since a whiiile ago so psp would be a waste of money for me. Not saying its bad, my friend has it and the sound quality is muah!

No, Im a very independent person.
For a simple example I hate brands, I go to decathlon and buy a plain coloured shirt, there! Or I wear Club Med shirts (my uncle works there) which I can be sure no one else wears.
So for independence but also for the number-1-rated sound quality i would go for the Sony HD5.

...and yet you're getting an MP3 player.

If you know what you want, why ask?

I ahve a Zen. And it's awesome. And it doesn't have any weird complicated shit to it. And it fits, like, 5,000 songs. And it's easy to put your songs onto it. All you have to do is slide it from one folder to another. I recommend it.
I could never get an iPod Nano coz it only fits 500-1000 songs. And I'm psychotic and have already filled my Zen with almost 3,000 songs.

My cube!! I love the damn little thing. wub.gif

Not only does it have 1GB of flash memory, but also plays FM radio. All in a less than 1 cubic inch package. It's cool as fuck.

The blue one is mine. It also has a record function, so you can bootleg gigs. Whenever I've got it on and am walking around people stop me to ask what it is. You might think the display would be hard to read but it's not at all.

Look how cute it is!!

^ bootleg gigs you say...? user posted image

how much do the cubes cost?
Tinkerbell
Around $125 US for the 1GB version. And yeah it doesn't hold 10 billion songs in memory but so what? It's easy enough to switch out things (it's all drag and drop).

Christmas time so you can probably get them on sale...
wonkytooth
and didn't you say you just wear it around your neck on a chain? it'd be great to have for work or when doing mundane tasks like grocery shopping and cleaning the place, and the cost isn't unreasonable either...

i'm thinking purple. wink.gif
Tinkerbell
Yeah the headphones are a necklace, although you could wear it on any sort of chain pretty easily if you wanted different headphones.

The other nice thing is it's just flash, so when you plug it into the computer it just treats it like a flash memory stick, and you just copy your existing folders/mp3 files to it. There's no special software, and no "libraries" to worry about. You could even copy other types of files to it (pictures or documents) if you needed a way to transfer something to another remote computer.

Can you tell I <3 mine? tongue.gif

Do not get a nano.

Mo_Papparani
