Okay. I decided to start a thread where you can post commercials or little samples or even lyrics that might stand out that you want to know the name of the band and the song coz you love it and want to dowload/buy the album or whatever. Why I started this thread coz I need to know this song and was hoping that maybe some of you might know what it is coz I am DYING to find out what this song is. Kay? Bad explanation, but hopefully you get my point.

The song is here:
http://www.bcbg.com/spring2005/index.htm
Go to 'Media', then go to 'Video'.

It is a BCBG Maxazria commercial with Jessica Stam in it and I love Jessica Stam and I love the song that is in the ad. So if anyone knows what the song is, can someone please tell me! I'd be forever grateful.

If not, well then post songs that you want to know who it is and yeah. smile.gif

^Sorry, can't help you there. That's going to be hard to figure out, I couldn't.

Does anyone know the song their playing in that Ritz Cracker commercial? It sounds like New Order or Joy Division, or even The Cure. Why would they play 70s/80s gloom rock anyways? blink.gif

I googled it up via the lyrics.

It's by The Vue from their album Babies are for Petting from 2003 (I think).

Haha, yeah except I can't find the song anywhere now. I've been looking everywhere, but the most I got was 30-second samples and it sounds so good! I really want to find it. I found other songs by them though. They're alright, but I really want this song. LimeWire doesn't have it and neither does internet.

This is where I ask another favour. If anyone has a different downloading program like Soulseek or Kazaa or something like that, would you mind searching 'Vue - It Won't Last' and if it has it, could you pooty pweez download it for me and post it in the mp3 share thread. I'll love you forever.

here's the site i use when i'm trying to find a song i like that's in an ad...

what's that called? music from tv commercials

you do a search by product and it lists the song(s) used by that company.

i can't think of any products i've bought because of a song used in an ad, but i can think of lots of songs i've bought/dl-ed because they were used in an ad. wink.gif

Great idea Liza!

There's this song that used to get played on Triple J a while back. It's some dance-y thing with this middle aged English guy talking over the top all about the word "fuck" and the different uses for it. Goes something like: "It can be used as an adjective: 'Sally fucked Adam'... It can be used to express anger or annoyance: 'That was fucked.'..." etc. I'm not big on swearing, but it's too hilarious.

Anyone know the who, what, when, where, why of this song?
