Ever wonder how to play those cool Vines songs but can't ever figure them out?

Post your Vines tabulatures here. Guitar, bass, whatever. You can post them directly, or create a link.

Endanger
Ok, well, I made this because, it's hard to find accurate tabs for The Vines. I want to buy the tab book for highly evolved really badly, but, alas, no money, and no time to earn it. tongue.gif First off, I was wondering if anybody has In the Jungle for guitar, and it's actually right. rolleyes.gif

you only need to get guitar pro from somewhere.. smile.gif
cortines

haha its okay - shall be patient
Endanger
thanks

I just created this for general discussion about playing the songs and stuff, so, musicians unite!

laugh.gif
cortines
alrighty then.
highly evolved - the little solo riff - i cant find a correct tab or figure it out myself...
Endanger
laugh.gif

I wish I could help, maybe someone else can.

I focus more on the acoustic pieces myself, so I only worry about the rhythms and such (cuz I play acoustic)

I feel bad I can't help you! It just doesn't work trying to play the distortion and stuff with my guitar.
cortines
no problemo - il figure it out somehow - im quite a widely ranged person from really just strumming chords and singing... to speeding away with metal riffs so anythings fine.
cortines
haha, quite funny, figured it out in a few minutes now... im must have improved since a year laugh.gif

for the ones interested, the one oh-so-simple solo from highly evolved:
comment!
Endanger
that sounds pretty accurate to me

I was wondering if you had or know of accurate tabs of In the Jungle and of 1969, I can't seem to find some

BTW, I'm Melinda

Do you have the highly evolved tabulature?

I want to get it!

cortines
hello melinda!
im vic.

no i dont have the highly evolved tab book - but now u mentioned it, i want it!

hmmm, in the jungle, this version seems pretty accurate:
In The Jungle

tell me what u think.
Jammeh
Close. Couple of errors though.

The bit called "riff 3" in there actually goes

e ------------0
B ------------0
G -------------
D --------2---
A --------2---
E 3b5r3-0---

Then the "I'll be waiting for a hit yeah" bit is

F#5 A5 C5 F#5, then quickly

E 2-0-2-0

Then finally F#5 G5 A5 A#5 C5 F#5, which is as the above chord progression but with a few extra notes in between
cortines
Wehey! we got a tab pro i see!
Listen to jammeh, im sure shes right (ur a girl right?)
Jammeh
Haha, oh dear. No, I'm not a girl...
cortines
whoopsie daisies!
how long u been playing the guitar?
Jammeh
About four years. There was a site somewhere with all the Vines tabs on it. This guy had a site and I sent in tabs for pretty much every song, but now I don't know where it is.
cortines
Ooo, that cant be good.
Endanger
yea, I used that tab already, I knew something was wrong with it, thx u guys
Jammeh
Merry Christmas

Because it's bloody awful! If anyone wants to play it for some absurd reason, it goes -

Verse: E Bm G D
Chorus: Am C

Hey anyone got the tabs for the slow version of Get Free that they played on the AOL sessions?
Jammeh
Just use open chords instead of power chords. Only on the intro, though. He goes back into power chords by the time the first chorus comes round. Just pick random notes.
garbage
I'm looking for the original guitar tab or piano sheets of Winning Days. Anyone has it?? I really need it now. In case no one has the original one, transcription ones which are as accurate to the song on the CD as possible.
XAnimalxMachineX
Weeell... I've looked, and it 'seems' as if the only Tab Book that's offical that they have is Highly Evolved... Rawr...

I don't know, I got some of the tab off of Ultimate Guitar.com, but, like you said, you were looking for the original... Hm... *ponders* I don't know... maybe you'll just have to kinda look at what other people have tabbed, and if it doesn't seem right, you could improvise...

That's kinda what I do, when I see something, and it doesn't look right. Anyway!

While you're at it, you should find the Tab to Landslide for me. ^^ Heh, kidding. But, yeah, that's the only real advice I could give you, (probably useless advice, but, it's something.)

for the whole album or just that song?
I can transcribe it

maybe I should transcribe Winning Days and we can put it up in the FAQ
it'll take a while though
Maxwell Demon
Jammeh could probably help alot too
I know hes good at the guitar tabs
annie
yeah but she wants the origional, like out of the tab book not one that was tabbed (is that a word?) by ear

and according to xanimalxmachine theyre's no official tab book for winning days so i guess thats impossible haha
XAnimalxMachineX
Eh heh, yeah. I guess the best thing to do is just either to it by ear, look it up on the internet, and then improvise on the places that don't sound too correct... S'what I did... *nods*
annie
i think youd probably be better off tabbing( is that a word?) it on your own instead of using ones you find on the internet
garbage
I need the Winning Days song (not the book), but I guess it's impossible to find the original one like you guys all said. I've checked the tabs on the internet, but they doesn't sound good and accurate, I appreciate if some one can help me to transcribe that song.

Guys, Lizzie and Jammeh and everyone else, can you transcribe the song for me?

I'm very grateful to you for that.
Maxwell Demon
I'll take a crack at it within the next few days
XAnimalxMachineX
I could try it... I'm playing guitar almost 24/7 (since I don't sleep. dry.gif ) and I'm pretty much not really doing much but messing around, and playing some songs... so, you know, for something to do.

Would benefit me and you. xD And anybody else.
Jammeh
I know Winning Days, I'll just type it up. Landslide is in the tabs thread. Who'd have thought, eh? Tabs in the tab thread?! Absurd

Edit: I didn't actually put Landslide in there, I thought I did. I'll put it up in a sec

E ---------------------------------

Verse: Bb C D C Bb G
Chorus: D5 C5 Bb5 D5 G5 F5
Palm muted part: Bb5 D5 A5 Bb5, then D C#/D Bb D

The guitar solo is pretty random, but staying close to the root notes. I'm pretty sure Craig isn't even aware of what he's playing. Just mess around in the Bb major scale.
The verses are all barre chords. You can play them open if you like, but you won't get that 'scratchy' sound.
XAnimalxMachineX
I love you.

I think Winning days has some more unsure.gif like, more chords and a solo part ? blink.gif Can you help me with a complete version? tongue.gif smile.gif
Jammeh
Oh, I assumed you just wanted the verse lead progression. That's what most people ask for.

Aaaaaaand 2 minutes on Google and I find Jimbob's old Vines tabs website!
You'll find Winning Days on there.

thank you much for trying to help me!!!!

If it interests you:
I'm going to write all guitar tabs with Guitar Pro and I'll set them online when I'm ready. And jammeh: What guitar do you have and what do you prefer to play on it?
Jammeh
I have a cheap Strat copy, and I play songs by whatever band I'm into at the moment. I'm learning Replacements songs at the moment, and some Sebadoh but all the alternate tunings are messing my guitar up so maybe I should stop that...
Glen_Ryan
i play guitar but i cant find good tabs for the vines i like to use powertabs i am getting a new guitar in a couple of weeks it is the fender jagstang made by kurt cobain i do not have a clue if this is a good guitar to buy any ideas?
