NEWS FROM DTI: The Vines have entered the studio on September 26th to begin recording album #3!!!

September 26, 2005: Vines Update--Recording begins in Sydney

Just wanted to let you and everyone at DTI know that The Vines start recording the third album today here in Sydney. They are out of their skin and can’t wait to get into it. There are 13 songs on the list all of which will get recorded.

Wayne Connolly is co-producing the album with the band and everyone is confident it is going to sound fantastic. I’ll give you more updates as thing start happening, but it’s great news that the band are in the studio and ready to make album #3.

Thanks everyone for the comments on my dancing Craig . I'm still just so excited about the guys having already had their first day in the studio! I'm so happy about the producer too - Wayne Connolly has done great stuff with The Vines before. And The Vines getting to co-produce too? That is just beyond brilliant. I am really looking forward to the release of this album! I'm sorry about replying again, but I'm just so happy that I couldn't help it .
I wonder if working with Wayne will end up in a more raw sounding album? I love HE and WD, but I'd like to hear an album from them that's a little more stripped down. I know I'll love it no matter how it's done, still I can't wait to find out!

well, wayne is co-producing with craig so i'm sure it'll depend on where craig's head is at too - and we know craig likes his studio toys. i'm thinking the two will compliment each other quite nicely - i can't help but believe the results will be spectacular. it's going to be so exciting to hear come this spring!

For anyone who thought the demos were fantastic this is the best news ever. Hopefully we'll get someting more along those lines - I hope so anyway.

Yes and although I love Craig's songs, sometimes I think he goes a little overboard with the added effects. Like Jen said, he likes his studio toys.
