heres a rundown on exactly what each one is for:

Vines media - pictures, images, audio files, video files, and articles/interviews (or requests for such things) related to the vines

Vines news - anything new you find out about the band including online articles, press statements, announcements etc.

live shows and touring - self explanitory

general discussion - anything vines related that doesn't fit in the other sections

Forum games - for all the posting games we play on the forum. not for discussion of video games or the like

Music - self explanitory

TV/Movies/Books - self explanitory

Forum Business - a place for the rules, mod updates, and discussion about anything related with the forum (including any problems you find with the forum)

Ok! with that out of the way What you see now is basically what you'll get
we may get another forum in the Vines category for discussion of the vines members and there are a few other kinks still to be worked out (like a new skin/look for the forum)

AND we can get more smilies (who doesn't want more smilies) so go around and find some images of smilies you'd like and post them in this thread so we can decide which ones we're going to ask for.

I'm not happy. Did any of us get a say in any of this? And I really can't help but feel that a] four moderators is going slightly over the top, and b] we should have at least someone from Back In The Day or .net. I have nothing against the people selected as moderators (although I wouldn't mind knowing when Wonkytooth joined the forum and quite why she was chosen), but I can't really see why they've been selected.

Wonkytooth is from .net - she was Jipper over there. And I believe she's also a mod on the DTI boards. So I think her experience with being a mod is one of the reasons she got chosen, too.

And like I said before - they're all very responsible people.

Fair enough; in that case, I'm sorry for talking about things I know nothing about. I probably just meant someone like Jammy or Craighead who could weed out some of the idiocy.

i'm pretty confused. but i'm gonna get used to it.

check my membership stats to the left. if you don't know me, it's because i post mostly in the vines forums, which is why i'm helping to mod just that section. make sense? allie, lizzy, maddie and i are all different time zones so that should mean at least one of us will be lurking about at all times.

one other thing...i don't view my mod duties as acting as some kind of nazi forum police. i never acted like that at .net nor do i at dti. we've contacted some people here privately via pm about large sigs or petty arguments with other forum members, but we're as interested in keeping the idiocy and drama off the forum as anyone - without playing it out for everyone else to read.

i love this band, and i want to do all i can to promote them - helping to organize this fan forum and see that it runs smoothly is one small way i can do that.

Jammy as a mod would be well funny.

i seem to remember there being some window of opportunity for jammy to mod over at .net, but something happened and he didn't. same thing over at dti. it's like he's always the modsmaid but never the mod at these vines forums. and, yes, jammy would provide much mod entertainment.

I was never offered a mod job at dot net. I'm not sure JP even knew I existed.

I would have offered to mod at DTI but Linda did the whole "who wants to mod?" thread while I was tucked up in bed. Bloody time zones. By the time I'd got up she'd chosen her sidekicks. There's nothing really for a mod to do there anyway.

If I was a mod here most threads would get closed, just so I could laugh when people complain.

Poor grammar would result in an instant banning, and possibly death.
