Sooo...should we just re-post all the ones on the other thread to this one? I think I'm going to upload them all to my own photobucket account so I don't have to use other people's...that way we won't lose any pics if those people decide to delete them off their accounts.

Oh frig. When I upload some of the images to photobucket, photobucket makes them a lot smaller! Which isn't cool!?
Dalai Lama
Nov 20 2004, 02:24 PM
why would it do that?
sometimes i make pictures smaller puropsely because they are too big but it should be the same size when you load it..

I haven't been there in a few days. It has been very slow, rather lame indeed. How did you manage to get back in? It didn't seem like they were ever going to let you.

Bless you, Chix. You are indeed a saint for posting those.

Oh by the way, I finally went to that Hives show I was telling you about. Good times were had by all involved. Many cool and serendipitous surprises completely wiping out the past 4 months of crap I have been dealing with. I wish I could have tucked you in my pocket so you could have experienced it as well. Next time! Even if I have to drive to New York and drag you there myself!

That's wonderful! Sounds like it was absolutely fantastic, as I always hear
Haha yeah...I can't wait until my day comes. I just need to keep my eyes open for 1. A gig that doesn' t an age restriction and 2. A gig that isn't in NYC or some other large city that my parents would be hesitant in bringing me to for a concert.
Someday though, someday...Urrgh I can't wait, I want to go to a Hives concert so bad! Them and Muse. The two bands on the top of my list that I have to see if it's the last thing I do.

I have two questions about the hives
1. How do you say Pelle? is it pronounced "pell" or "pell-ee"??
2. I just noticed this the other day... the drum kit is a bit lower that other drumkits Ive seen... is there a reason for this? I dont know much about Drumkits.
thanks!

1. Pelle is pronounced "PELL-ay". I know, it stumped me for a while too. So many people have said it simply as "PELL" and when he says his full stage name, he says it so fast it sounds like he is saying "PELL". Also, I looked the name "Pelle" up in various name books and the pronunciation was presented as "PELL-ah", so that's how I said it for a while. I finally realized how Pelle himself said it at the show I went to Monday when he said, "My name is Pelle (pronounced PELL-ay), say it with me, now!"
2. I've seen other bands do this and it usually has to do with one of two things. Sometimes it is a concern for the playing preference of the drummer. More often than not, however, it has more to do with making the drummer more visible to the audience.

I think it's because he's from Sweden that he says Pell-ay instead of Pell-e or whatsoever.

btw. you pronounce Pelle with a norwegian sounding "e" at the end. Not with "ay".
The english "e" sounds like an "i" in swedish.
The "e" in Pelle sounds like the letter "æ". I dont really know how to explain it since you dont have that letter in your alphabet.
