I live in Melbourne, and I think I'm the only one on the forum. Everyone else seems to be in Sydney. Anyways my dream is to move up to Sydney one of these days and stalk Craig...

by the way, I love it here. I was just having a conversation with a few other Americans about how clean it is here. Very clean. The people from Sydney said it is really not clean here which made me laugh cause they must not have ever been to NYC or most cities in the US

oh and someone said Melbourne is like..10x cleaner than sydney

I know, I am rather ashamed about that. We should have recognised how good they were, I wish hadn't had to go to America to get noticed. In the early days I actually thought they were American! On their first appearance on Rove Live (which is like the Aussie version of Letterman) they were introduced as an international band, so I assumed they were american. But when I found out they were Aussie I had a lot more interest in them.

and I also hate it how most of the aussies who say they hate the Vines haven't heard a single one of their songs and base their opinion around the fact that the lead singer is supposedly 'mental'.

I know like jet got arias and winning days wasn't even nomiated!!it's bullshit and when they played at the w&g x mas party there was only a tiny write up in rolling stone the freckin NME had more pics and there not even in the same country!i think most aussies don't appreciat the vines

i know, they really don't appreciate them. Our country really needs to support its own talent a bit more. I remember when Winning Days (the song) came out, it barely even got noticed. And if any album ever deserved an Aria, Winning Days did. *sigh*

Yeah, I see Ryan, Patrick and/or Hamish around too. I was at the Hoey once and was heading out and ran into someone's chest, only to look up and see Patrick's face. Then Ryan decided he'd try to come in whilst I was going out and we got stuck in the door.

Ryan's so cute. He's like a defenseless girl who always has to be accompanied by a man. Whether it's Hamish or Patrick, "the man" has to take charge and check their names off the door list while the little girl stands to the side, chews on his sleeve, and nervously clutches his man purse. I think I've told this story before. Sorry.

I live in Sydney as well, but i'm originally from England. Loving it here at the moment. Never seen any of the Vines though, apart from at gigs of course.
