Institutions are bogus. I was suicidal when I was 14 and spent some time at the Hampstead Hospital. Their solution to "helping" patients is to look up their symptoms in the DSM IV and load you up on meds. I can hardly remember most of my time there, but the first night, I remember looking at the wall and watching it breathe. What kind of help is that? The nurses were afraid of us, everything was locked up, and we were just generally treated like dirt. Do whatever you can to stay away. If you ever need to talk about anything, just ask. I've been at the bottom and I know a lot about climbing back up. Besides, I'm a great listener.
