Dieser Umstand ist eine Folge der Struktur von Raum und Zeit und keine Eigenschaft des Objekts, wie beispielsweise eines lediglich unvollkommenen Raumschiffes. Könnte sich ein Objekt mit Überlichtgeschwindigkeit von A nach B bewegen, so könnte man immer Beobachter finden, die eine Bewegung von B nach A wahrnehmen würden, wiederum ohne dass die Frage, wer die Situation korrekt beschreibt, einen Sinn gäbe. Das Kausalitätsprinzip wäre dann verletzt, da die Reihenfolge von Ursache und Wirkung nicht mehr definiert wäre. Ein solches Objekt würde sich übrigens für jeden Beobachter mit Überlichtgeschwindigkeit bewegen.

On paper, this was a great idea.

we went in at 9 and were the first people at the bar lol. everything was so cheap!!! unbelievable!! i had 4 tia marias but unfortunately 1 landed on susanna and me and the other half on some toilet-watching-girl. ups. so yeah, susanna was unbelievable drunk. i won't write down now what weird things she did lol, but it was rather amusing. and in fact, everything is so much better when you're drunk! it literally opens you all doors!! so from now on we'll always see the jets drunk. les incompetents and ladyfuzz were great! i really do love les incompetents.
mystery jets themselves were amazing as usual.

at one point we were singing happy birthday to lovely william and keith from we are scientists gave him a cake and joined them during diamonds in the dark. i love keith.
as susanna was pretty drunk, she screamed "STAGEINVASION" before alas agnes and william gave her the mic and said "go on then" and then she pushed it away, he offered her his hand saying "don't be shy", but in the end we didn't do it. at least i wasn't drunk enough for that. but anyways, how PERFECT is william please??!! i love him so much!!!
after the gig blaine came to us again hihi and gave us kisses on our cheeks, for the first time ever, which made my day lol
everyone was really drunk, but nice and relaxed, so it was very easy to get backstage. we just could walk into the room and wish william a happy birthday. and keith scientist was there and william wanted him to be in their new video. awww, they love each other <3
and i love them. and now i love kapil too. he was brilliant and he couldn't remember a single thing from amsterdam which was even more brilliant! we once again told graham that we helped him in brixton and he said "yes i know you did". i mean, just in case he ever forgets that lol. and we think we've met williams girlfriend and susanna has even smelled her hair. but she is not very pretty, so i don't hate her THAT much.
mmh.. what else? susanna promised kapil a stageinvasion in london and we will definately do that, right?
oh and we made a new friend in the bus home lol
oh and there was this weird ladyfuzz-related girl giving us doritos, singing songs shamelessly, founding out our origin.. brilliant, everyone was so unbelievable nice!!! me = happy. perfect it was!

Yesterday, we posted a photo which appeared to show Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, drinking some beer. I speculated that the 15 year old actress was just posing with the beer for the camera... The following pictures that were released to us by a /Film scooper who will remain nameless. They appear to prove my theory wrong. (In all fairness, it may be legal for her to be drinking at 15 depending on the country)

kA wo es so eine Liste gibt bzw. wie man dran kommt. Die meisten Schriften *waren* verboten, also besser zeitlich präzisieren. Meister Eckhart, Diderot, Feuerbach usw. werden heute gefeiert und ihre bösen Ideen sind nicht selten Bestandteil der heutigen Kultur, unseres heutigen Weltbildes oder sogar Teil der christlichen Religion.

Verbot durch Kirche ist ein schlechtes Auswahlkriterium, es könnte ja auch mal auf ein Verbot verzichtet worden sein, gerade um zu zeigen, wohin Gottlosigkeit führt. Sowas wäre doch bestimmt erst recht interessant, selbst wenn der "evil und grim" Faktor durch Honorierungen mittels Straßenbennenung wieder geschwächt werden würde.

If he was born at the end of the year 1959, between mid-September through December, he could still be in the same year as Remus, James, et al.

We don't have DOBs for the other Marauders, though, so we have to guess theirs based on the information we have about Sirius. All calculations about when the Marauders were at school are based on information from JKR's website where she says Sirius was around 22 when he was sent to Azkaban. We know this happened in 1981 because the year in which Lily and James where murdered can be calculated on the basis of the only date ever given in canon--that CoS starts in 1992, because on Halloween it is the 500th anniversary of Nearly Headless Nick's death, which was in 1492.

Since Sirius was only 'around 22' when he was sent to Azkaban, he could conceivably have been born any time between 1957 and 1960, allowing a little 'wiggle room' for his exact age and when his birthday might be. The simplest answer is to assume that he was actually 22, meaning he was born in 1959 (if his birthday falls before November 1st) or 1958 (if his birthday falls after November 1st).

Remus says in PoA that MWPP and Snape were all in the same year, and we have birthdays for him and for Snape (again, from JKR's website), but not years. We have to work the years out from Sirius' age, and the cut off date for school (presumably 1st September, which is always the first day of term). So, if you're writing a fic in which Sirius was born on, say, 15th November, 1959, Remus and Snape would have been born in 1960 in order for all their birthdays to fall in the same school year. If Sirius was born in 1959, on any day prior to 1st September, then Remus' DOB would also be in 1959. And so on.

Really, with all these approximations, calculations and guesses, is it any wonder that JKR occasionally slips up on her characters ages herself? *g*

A post on grrliz' journal yesterday reminded me of the best theory ever produced in HP fandom, which was a combined effort by me and my beloved birthday twin, Liz herself. We came up with it about a year ago, but have added to it in dribs and drabs since then, so I feel now is the time to reveal our theory in it's full glory.



What JKR never told you about Sirius Black

Sirius' birthday is, I say without a shadow of a doubt, the 12th of July.

How do we know this? By careful study of the texts and clear headed objective research. To wit:

Sirius is named after the star, Sirius, also known as the dog star, so he was likely born in the Dog Days of Summer, which in Britain fall between 3rd July and 11th August, meaning Sirius' birthday falls in July or early August. The expression 'dog days of summer' has its origins in Eygptian mythology:

In ancient Egypt, the dog star, under the name Sihor, rose along side the Sun when summer was at its very hottest. The ancient Egyptians celebrated the return of the “dog days,” because the rising of the Sun, combined with the Dog Star, announced a very good thing. It was during this time each and every year that the River Nile would flood, reviving all of the surrounding parched land.

Both the ancient Egyptian and Roman traditions, looked at the Dog Star as being a 2nd Sun, and both agreed that the Dog Star was responsible for the intense summer heat by adding its own heat to the heat of the Sun. Source: About Astrology

(Note that Sirius now becomes visible in the Northern Hemisphere in early November. This is due to the precession of the equinoxes, the thousand year 'wobble' that shifts the positions of the stars in our sky. However, the mythological connections stay with summer, as it would clearly be ridiculous to call November and December the dog days of summer anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere.)

So, Sirius' date of birth is narrowed down to a time frame of a little over one month, but how to we work out the exact date? For this, we turn to Arithmancy. If we type 'Sirius Black' into an Arithmancy calculator, we get the numbers 7, 3 & 4. We know that Arithmancy is reliable because it's Hermione's favourite subject, and as she is the voice of the author any theory based on Arithmancy is almost certainly true. Ergo:

7 = July

3 x 4 = Twelve

Twelth of July, see? Any ridiculous notions that the numbers could be added up differently should be put to rest by remembering that Sirius grew up at Number twelve Grimmauld Place. See, it all fits!

Now, some naysayers have attempted to pooh-pooh the truth of Sirius' birthday being the 12th July, trying to argue that Sirius isn't much like a Cancerian. Pish, I say! Pish and humbug!

Also, please be remembering that Americans write 11th of July as 7/11 (Brits write it as 11/7) and if Sirius had been born early enough on 12th July it would still have been the 11th in America. As there is no doubt that Sirius would have expelled himself from Walburga's uterus at the earliest possible hour, this is rock solid evidence as well.

thistlerose also points out that there are 12 doors to the Department of Mysteries (where Sirius DIES). I'd add that there are 12 uses for dragon's blood, and doesn't Harry seek Sirius' advice about dealing with dragons? I think he does. *smug*

So, there you have it: canon evidence, Eygptian mythology, Arithmancy, international dating conventions, and astrology all prove conclusively that Sirius Black was born on the 12th of July (1959).

I'd like to add that neither Liz nor myself are remotely biased in this theory, though we are very happy that Sirius shares a birthday with us, not least because of the possibility of birthday threesomes.

Some Americans try to put the blame on other people when the blame lies truly with them. Many people blame the media, eg the Movies, TV and Music that their children listen to, when this is not the case at all. Mike Moore shows his opinion that he thinks this is ridiculous in his documentary with the help of interviews from Matt Stone (creator of South Park) and Marilyn Manson (musician). Mike interviews Marilyn about what he thinks about the situation and he replies with this “…the president was shooting bombs overseas, yet I'm a bad guy because I, well I sing some rock-and-roll songs, and who's a bigger influence, the President or Marilyn Manson? I'd like to think me, but I'm going to go with the President”. In some cases, media influences do cause violence, but it is evident that Mike Moore believes this is not the main issue and the blame lies further than rock songs and tv shows- its about the influences a little closer to home, the parents and the government. Mir ist so schlecht, dass ich kotzen könnte. Wovon auch immer. Der Sommer wahrscheinlich, mit seiner pseudoguten Luft und den Pollen und den ganzen doofen Insekten, die mir gegen den Kopf knallen, wenn ich Rad fahre und mir auch in den Mund, in die Nase und ins Haar. Dieses Jahr gibts so viele kleine Vicher. Ich bleib dabei, dass ich den Sommer sehr nicht mag.
