a couple new rules (the second one I have already been practising and think I should mention):

1) I do not condone these little opposition groups of individual members (ex. the APM and AAM). Support of such groups shown in avatars or signatures are forthwith banned. Making a thread about such things is already against the rules but I feel I need to mention that they are also banned. This is a community open to anyone who wants to post here and doesn't break a ton of rules. If a member is seriously bad enough to be banned they will be. Anti-whoever groups aren't going to make me more inclined to warn or ban someone, so the only effect they have is an overall negative effect on the forum.

If you have a problem with another member either work it out with them in PMs or contact me if there is something I can do about it (meaning that they actually deserve some kind of warning or banning). If you want to discuss your discontent about a member with other members who feel the same as you do, try to keep it within PMs.

2) Its alright if you want to have more than one user name. If you do create a new username contact me and tell me its you. I can always find out by looking at IP addresses but all the same make sure to contact me because its not the easiest thing for me to figure out. If you make a new username and don't contact me OR don't use the introduction thread to introduce the username as your new/alternative username you will get a warning. If you make an alternative username any warning you obtain while using it will be tagged onto the warning level of your most active username. If you decide to get a new username and not use your old one anymore your warning level from your first username will transfer to your new one. DO NOT CREATE A NEW USERNAME THAT CONTAINS ANY KIND OF REFERENCE TO ANOTHER MEMBER ON THE FORUM (ex. their name) WITHOUT GETTING THAT MEMBER'S PERMISSION TO DO SO BEFOREHAND You will get a warning and that username will be banned if I receive a complaint from another user saying that you have not asked them permission to reference them. That last part of the rule goes into effect today (8/2).

If you already post on more than one user name please list them all in this thread.

Just for a bit of clarification on an old rule: racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation slurs extends to any statement that is a defamatory generalization of any racial, ethnic or sexual orientated group, and sometimes even a seemingly positive generalization if I receive a complaint about it.

but are you limiting alternate user names to one extra per person? cos that with the birthday things yesterday was ridiculous. i don't really get the need to have two identities, since it usually means making yourself double the ass, but whatevs...

I think removing the anti-member club deals are good. Everyone has the right to be here and if someone doesnt like it, then too damn bad, they'll just have to deal. Honestly, the best thing to do when you don't like someone is ignore them. It's that easy, people.

I think this is a great idea Lizzy. I like everyone on this forum and I really don't like seeing little hate groups springing up about people I think are great. Also the multiple username thing is really annoying - some of them can be funny, but most of them are just plain offensive. I'm glad there's a way to control them now .
