I'm from the US and I would like to know, what is it like in Australia? Is it any different? please tell me I am very interested.

Ive heard that people from America think that we're all like Steve Irwin (damn him!) and we run around the bush naked eating meat pies all the time.
Well its not like that and it depends where you live i guess. I live in the suburbs so its just normal. I live in a normal house with a normal backyard and its so normal its not funny.
But then we have a beach house at the coast and it's really cool there.
And it rains and its sunny and its normal. I have never seen snow though. um... the dirt at school is red.... u see lots of birds all the time.... nothing interesting or out of the ordinary.
Whats America like? Someone told me that all the shcools there have metal detectors.

MY school doesn't have a metal detector, but then again its probably because we can't afford one!!! And I get snow here about once a year and well I see a lot of birds also!! and the state I live in, Oregon, its always rainy and cold in the fall, winter and spring but super hot in the summer. We also have a desserty part, a beach, a moutain and a gesyer i think.

hehehe that is hilarious...but don't even get me started on what is inside of each stall in the girls bathrooms....funny shit! I know lots of people with very strange names, but most people that live here are from somewhere else either in the U.S. or lots of Germans because for a smaller city we have a mitsubishi plant, and huge BMW plant, George W. came to speak ther last year, and Michillene shit out the ass...pretty building though so a lot of foriegn people come here and work for them, met a few kick ass Germans before...got lost of exchange students too.

oh my!! te funniest thing happened today. we were walking back from the beach and this guy threw a roll of tape at a bird and he ddint mean to hit it but he did and the bird wen SQWUAAAKKK and fell out of the tree and we thought it was dead but it wasnt and then it waddled off... it might sound really mean (and it is) but i guess you had to be there. and i h ate magpies so serves it right

My Brisbane buddy says the part of Australia where he lives at has mild winters. He rarely sees snow. And its about 16 hours later where he is at. My time is 11:39pm Friday night. His time is 3:39pm Saturday afternoon.

I liked the aborigines. Walkabout's one of my favourite movies. It was okay when I went. I mostly hung around the beach.

hmmm... my beach is too cold right now. I went to the beach on a field trip to the aquarium. The sharks were scary and I learned that Moe's has the best damn clam chowder around. Oh and that junkies hang out at the wax museum. (GOOD TO KNOW)

I went to an Emu farm once.. wow it was scary but i am scared of butterflies even more
And Ive bin on holidays for a couple of weeks now because our school starts holidays earlier than everyone else for some reason.
I hate Magpies too. and the funny thing is the council put up this sign in our street about how Magpies are endangered or some shit like that. Endangered my ass. They're everywhere.

its something about that beach. theres about 6 beaches in our very small town. and its that one particualar beach thats ive had about 4 panic attacks in. i dont think i should go in it any more lol. yestrday it was cos we were supposed to be swimming across the beach and i was getting sucked backwards and i was swimming and swimming but i felt like i wasnt going anywhere and i was really scared cos the waves were big. then my friends tried to pull me but i couldnt see the point and i kept saying "theres no point" over and over.. then i tried to swim out and i still got pulled backwards.. but im still alive.. i was so exhausted. then the eacher annoucned we were going for a run up the beach and i was like NO WAY.

Its not fair how come you get to go to the beach at school.
The nearest beach to us is like half an hour away from our school.

its just down the road. we only get to do it at the end of the year though.
