me and my friend are starting up a band and we started talking about band names. so if you were in a band what would you want your band name to be? or if you are currently in a band what is your band name?
i'll start: i think i'd want my band name to be the rarities if that's not already taken.

When searching for a band name, usually start with what goes along with your music, the values and attitudes that you put into your music, and find something that relates to it. But sometimes a thesaurus is really great.

I think you'll be alright; I can't see anyone wanting to take those names.
my old band used to be called How About Seagull, though we kind of dropped it when we realized that it sounded a bit like Flock of Seagulls...

My friend and I were trying to come up with a band name, so we did this thing on AIM where one of us would send the first adjective that came to our heads, and the other person immediatly would send the first noun that came to their heads (before seeing what the adjective was). Then we'd see what it came out as and decide if it'd make a good "The" band name.
That's where "The Yellow Longjohns" came from.
It also once came out as, quite ironically, "The Shitting Bricks" I don't think we'll be using either of those, however...

One of my friends also came up with "Deprived of Sanity" but my other friend didn't want it. It's still hanging around though...
my cousins and sister and i used to tell people we had a band called hitler and the border patrol. amazing how many people actually believed us. oh and my friends were gonna start one called fuck you mom, just the two of them, they were gonna be the next white stripes. oh and my sister was going to start one called mob theory. the first album was going to be old people are manipulative.
