Really? I've never wondered about that before. I think Craig is really quite smart. I have no idea how he'd go on an IQ test, those things only really measure comprehension and numerical skills - they don't measure creativity, musical or artistic abilities. And on those last 3 things Craig would be far above average . Also in interviews and things he can be very quick witted, and apparently he has an incredible memory for words and lyrics. So yeah, I think it's obvious that Craig is a very intelligent person, you can tell by just listening to his music . No need for some crummy little IQ test .

Craig is obviously a very intelligent person. Of course his music ability is amazing, very few people are able to write such amazing songs. Also, just from the way he talks and the things he says (even though he often makes no sense ), it's obvious that he's got some brains. And I'm pretty sure he would know how to read music even though it's probably not something he does that much.

Yeah, Pat was doing Medicine at Sydney - and it's very difficult to get into Med at Sydney uni, so the boy obviously has brains. Hamish was doing Chemical Engineering at Sydney too (or was it UNSW?... I'm pretty sure it was at Sydney though). Craig just didn't have an interest in that type of stuff - that doesn't make him any less intelligent. Music and art have always been what he's loved, he has written 3 magnificent albums, the guy has an amazing ability to create music - isn't that intelligence? Or does he need some degree he'll never use to be considered smart?

which brings me to the point that there are many kinds of intelligences, and it's not all about how many degrees someone has and if they're booksmart - because you might be a genius academically but have the common sense of a bollweevil.

the growing trend in education - which i totally support! - is to accept that there are 8 multiple intelligences and it's our job to help individuals grow in their areas of strength...

Linguistic intelligence ("word smart"):
Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")
Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
Musical intelligence ("music smart")
Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")

from this list, i'd guess craig is strongest in spatial, musical and intrapersonal intelligence. in a school setting, craig would've excelled at tasks that allowed him to express himself more artistically instead of pen to paper (the traditional mode of education). that's why schools tend to lose kids like craig, because traditional classrooms don't function to their strengths and they're made to feel like failures instead of being nurtured in other areas.

to me, the world's a much more interesting place because of the different talents/skills we all have to offer.

Craig might not be boksmart in the level of math, science and all that shit the fill your head with in school (but who knows, maybe he is) But we know that Craig has a high intellect when it comes to life and knowing whats going on. In his interviews you can tell very well that he is very intellegent and can see through all of the shit in the world. His music and his art are just one of the many mirros of that. He has a high understanding of whats going on.

Yeah, I think Craig is very intelligent in many ways. Musically, obviously.

Someone said before that, like, in interviews and stuff, mostly past ones, he may not always give an eloquent (or intelligible ) answer to questions, but most times he's having fun and being sarcastic and stuff and the interviewers can't tell. I think Craig's very intelligent, but he might just show it in ways different than people expect.
