Then I don't want to know how you pronounce those words. huh.gif
richardxcore
Are you serious?
Feedums
Yes. blink.gif
richardxcore
PresenT
Your
BanD

Ent and And
do NOT rhyme.
Feedums
If you really emphasize the 't', yes, but it rhymes for normal persons.
richardxcore
Where are you from?
Your dialect is screwy.
so like, your a's sound like e's and your t's sound like d's?

Lat's cemp oud in dhis Dend.
Feedums
I don't have a dialect. ohmy.gif
richardxcore
everybody has a dialect
Feedums
I don't, because I'm special.

...that didn't sound right, did it?
richardxcore
Well, i'm from southern california
and like, i met a guy from utah, which isn't
that far, and he spoke way different than i.
Feedums
Well, I guess I do sound different than the other people on here, seeing as I'm one of the few Dutch people on this board. And I think I have a bit of a Rotterdam accent... Which isn't good. But not a dialect.
richardxcore
A dialect is just a way of speaking. Like, an accent.

A regional or social variety of a language distinguished by pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary, especially a variety of speech differing from the standard literary language or speech pattern of the culture in which it exists: Cockney is a dialect of English.
Feedums
Well, there are dialects in Friesland and Zeeland, but not in South Holland, where I live. huh.gif
richardxcore
i thought everybody had a different dialect huh.gif
Feedums
Well, places like South-Holland and North-Holland just speak the regular Dutch language in the way it's supposed to be pronounced, while in the other places I just named they're speaking in dialect.

So I guess we do speak dialect in the eyes of those people.
richardxcore
Yee for Fee
now, that rhymes.
Feedums
No. Yay for Fee would rhyme.
richardxcore
ahahah no it wouldn't!
tongue.gif
here we go again rolleyes.gif

laugh.gif
Feedums
It would! You pronounce my name as Faye, love. wink.gif
richardxcore
I didn't know that ohmy.gif
Feedums
Now you do. tongue.gif

Don't promote your band; promote your dialect.

richardxcore
i swear, im gonna zip the whole ents demo and torrent it or yousendit.
comradestripe
'Present' and 'band' definitely do not rhyme, as demonstrated by Richard. If someone could explain how 'ent' and 'and' rhyme, I'd be most grateful.

Everyone's accent and, indeed, general way of speaking with regard to words and phrases, falls into some sort of dialect. It doesn't seem that way to oneself, but it's the case.

La Merde

richardxcore
