I don't know if there are any fans of The Libertines around here who've seen this, but in the Pete Welsh biography of them that was published this week, Pete Doherty talks a bit about how they supported The Vines at their Brighton show in 2002. Everybody knows that, but I thought this was worth posting anyway, as he makes a really sweet/sad mention of Craig:
"...Something as simple as Craig Nicholls from The Vines coming down and listening to our soundcheck, and dancing to our soundcheck, really set me at ease, and ever since then, it's always been really important that support bands, and bands we go on tour with, are good people. Yeah, that quite impressed me and whatever happened since then, whatever tantrums he had and when he didn't give me much weed, I'll always remember him in his little Adidas top dancing around to 'Boys in the Band'. Revived this topic cos I found out that the Libertines book apparently has different names in different countries. In Australia, it's called "Stop At Nothing: The Libertines" but the UK one, as you may be aware, is called "Kids In The Riot: Highs and Lows with The Libertines".
I'm pretty sure it's the same book cos it has the same ISBN (184449716X), but the Australian version apparently has 208 pages (according to the Angus & Robertson website) while the UK version has 216 pages...
