Coldplay was the first english band I began to listen to, my first fav brit-pop band.

For some reason "A Rush of Blood to the Head" makes me want to cry. I don't usually cry to songs. I remember my eyes were popping (along with my jaw dropping) when I first saw them on TV performing live!! I was like, "What is this band?! I haven't seen such GREAT piano performance for a long time!!" So I got into them fairly quickly!! I bought their second album first and then "Parachutes" and I gotta say, THESE 2 ALBUMS ARE BRILLIANT!!! I played them non-stop!!

Has anybody here bought "Coldplay Live 2003" DVD?

I love coldplay, they are so soothing and mellow.

I like Coldplay but not much. In fact I like just some songs which everyboydy likes (The Scientist, Yellow...) and the remaining songs sound the same to me.

I remember when they first came out. I loved the song yellow for sure, I also like the scientist. Not such a fan of clocks cause it was so overplayed.

I hate Coldplay. I can't help it, I just really hate them.

Though Trouble, Spies and Amsterdam are pretty good.

I think Coldplay are okay. I'm interested in hearing the new stuff though. I'm hoping for an electro album (haha, fat chance) since they sampled Kraftwerk on one of the tracks *crosses fingers*. That would be genius.

One of my friends is a huge Coldplay fan and she was dragging me to go see them in July. Then I found out Supergrass were supporting. Fucking yes.

erm...I just can't like them. I hear that sometimes they are soothing, but I really would prefer stereolab to do that for me. I probably just sound like a total smogger, but I really couldn't stand "the scientist". It seemed so manufactured, what with the constant slight high noted warble and dull modern love note lyrics. I'm terribly sorry, but they're not my thing.

I like Coldplay, but they aren't one of my most favourite bands. Fave song by them = A Rush of Blood to the Head.
I got to see them in 2003 at Splendour in the Grass (I was front row ) and they put on a pretty good show.

I used to love Coldplay a lot, but as I began hearing them all day long on the radio I became a little bit bored... I prefer the 1st album, it helps me sleep at night when I'm too nervous, I put it and at the 3rd song (Spies, one of my favourite ones) I'm already dreaming

Me neither actually. not U2 as in sound but in popularity and the fact that the songs sound like there being sung to you, not everyone.
