Yeah the Simpsons were over so I was flicking through the channels and seen it. I came down and tried to have compasion in my voice when I told my mum but her and her friend laughed at me because they knew I was sorta putting it on, but at least I tried to be nice when breaking it to them

You 've gotta be a catholic not just christian. It's a pity he's dead. I'm curious to see who's next. To be honest, people belonging to any sort of church never touch my feelings. He was a tired old man sort of compassion-inspiring, that's how far it went with me.

you have to be a catholic cardinal and I think you have to be able to speak English, Latin, and Italian....and you have to get your ass over to il conclave in 15 days.

I was watching the news and people were crying and stuff and then it showed this man with a child who looked like he was round 10 and they were laughing in the crowd Obviously they weren't laughing bout him dying and all but y'know.

they have to oversee the entire clergy and catholic religion, they go all over the world to talk and meet with people, and they make alot of key decisions within the religion, like how to change the masses and such to fit with the evolving world among other things

its actually alot more work than alot of people know

I was watching the news this morning, and they say that an Italian Cardinal is obviously the 'front runner' can't recall his name, but also a Nigerian one is also in the leading pack as well, which I think would make a really interesting one.

I know I am going to sound somewhat dense, but I don't really know what a pope is. Well I know they are some roman catholic figure but I don't really know the significance. Obviously that's becuase I'm not catholic..I'm lutheran.

I think he's just in charge of running the Catholic Church. Then again I shouldn't be answering that since I know almost nothing about Catholicism since I don't believe in God, and no one in my family (except one grandmother who lives interstate) believes in God.
