What makes you float into another dimension when you really need to get away from e v e r y t h i n g ? I'm not talking about drugs yet if that's your means to floating post so. I really trip deep into my world when I listen to music... That's probably why I listen to music almost all day long. What about you? What lifts you up when you want to get away?

Music. Same here.
On the bus especially, I just go into my own little world and hardly notice anything else going on around me. That's why I really hate it when people interrupt me while I've got my headphones on.
I just forget about everything.

I usually read, draw, or write. Although sometimes taking a bath is really nice place to get away because you just feel so far away from everyone else.

Commuting seems so quick if you listen to music while doin it!

Music.
And then sometimes drawing, writing, and reading. If people interrupt me when I'm doing any of those three things, then I get a bit edgy and irritated.

I love to sit on trains or coaches and listen to music. I really do.

I think it's just being awake late at night and early into the morning. I get into this weird state where words just flow out of my pen and all over the paper. I once stayed up until 5am writing 8 pages of poetry.
I didn't even understand half of the words that I formed, yet it all fit together.

That's ace, Eyes Between.
I can't help being awake late at night. It's 5.24am now, and I don't want to go to bed.

I try to force myself to go to bed around 1 on school nights but on the weekends I will stay up till 5 or 6. I am very much a night person.

Things just seem easier at night. It's when you turn the lights out that the problems manifest themselves. That can't happen if you go to bed when it's light outside.

I always listen to the music on the bus and my mind goes really away, i don't notice anyone and anything...until someone pokes me, i read their lips "excuse me...sorry" they want some information...ok...*turn the music off*

hmmmmmm

yea i hate too when people interrupt me especially if the bus is full and they could ask to someone else...

^ Yeah I know how that is.
Another one would be, just being in my bedroom. Sitting in my chair with all my candles lit and incense burning, listening to music, with my funky lamp on. Sometimes drawing. I draw the best when I'm in that environment.
It's just so relaxing. My room has a really strong smell when you enter it, but in a good way (at least in my opinion) because I almost always have candles burning and I burn incense every day. I just love being in my room.
Or sitting in my room late at night with all the lights out and just a bunch of candles and incense burning, with the TV on watching some late underground music show or metal show.

Are you in a band?
Thinkin about it you're right guys, drawing and reading can take my mind off of everything. It's just that with music it happens in no time.

I feel really relaxed when im playing my clarinet. When listening to music as well, I have my mp3 player while im walking to and from school. I have to be really careful when I am crossing roads and things like that, I get really out of it some times and can't focus on other things like traffic.
