I know Rock Music's developed in US & UK for a long time. Most Asians didnt like Rock. But now many Asians love this kind of music. Since the nineties there have been some Rockbands (and singers maybe) in Asia. Have you ever heard of them?

In fact Rock music has been popular in Japan since bout 1960s, even earlier. A famous artist in J-Rock was Kitaro (and maybe his band) in 1980s. I think youve known him cuz he had some Grammy prides and he had many tours in US and Europe. But now do you know any of Asian Rock music?

In Asia, Japan and Korea are the most developed in showbiz now. But I cant like K-music. Maybe its rather good at Pop, R&B and Hip-hop but I dont like these genres. Its said that therere many good K-Rockbands but I dont think so. Their music, sorry, theyve made me puke! But Ive listened to modern J-Rock. Theyre okay, I think.

I wanna tell you bout one of them, L'arc ~ en ~ Ciel the band. It was born in 1992. Hyde, the vocalist, loves Us & Uk Rock. His idols are Beatles (Craig too, right?), Cranberries, Radiohead, and Eels (I love them!). Albeit his music aint infuenced by them much, I think hes good with his thoughts His voice is quite similar with my Matthew Bellamy (its only my sujective opinion ^^) And one of the most impressed things, this band covered Lucys In The Sky With Diamond well! I was very surprised by their exchanges. I think you should try it. Of course, theyre not good at only covers. Ive listened to 3 their albums and some others songs. I think theyre okay. And, his face with his way to make-up could make me think of Brian Molko. This impressed me too.

I know some other good bands such as X-Japan, Due'le Quartz, Dir en Gray... All of them are Jpese too cuz I cant stand Thailand Rock though Jpeses aint good at English pronunciation ^^

I should listen to Japanese rock more, people always tell me what a great rock scene they have in Japan nowadays. The 5.6.7.8's are awesome but that's about all the knowledge I have of Asian rock.

Especially that song........um....."Hello" and "Shallow Sleep"...........I haven't listen to japanese music for a really long time....I used to be obsessed with j-pop for a loooooooooooong time....like puffyamiyumi and ayumi hamasaki.....i hate j-pop now though.....I used to like Korean music too... like VLAD and Cherry Filter...

well, i was BIG HUGE fan of l'arc-en-ciel and i went there concert but i end it up. till i visit Alaska for exchange student, then i got into US rock. now i LOVE VINES, which is aussie band though

yes we have MTV JAPAN and they do play J rock and US rock. but we need to get satellite broadcast though and bad thing is i dont have it so i dont know what its looks like they should do it for free
