I wanna tell you bout my arguements with a SPs fan.
I dunno how to begin. I dont remember the order much exactly, but some following quotations are exact, Im sure.

I dont know if therere some SPs fans here. But I dare to claim SP music is shallow. The first you listen, you may like it (or accept it). But I bet you cant find any more when you listen to it next times. Itll be boring quickly. All SPs fans, forgive me. Though Im sure no one can be a fan of both SP and The Vines...

Have you ever heard their cover - Happy Together? Most of SPs fans I know love it much. But I think they love it just cos they havent listened to Happy Together by The Turtles... the exchanges so bad I think, terrible...

i would just like to say one thing. bands that aren't british CANNOT be called punk because punk rose out of the anti american sentiment in england and second if americans and or canadian bands sound punk they are called hardcore, basically and american term for punk. so simple plan are not british nor can they be 'hardcore' for obvious reasons...sooooooooo they would be just plain pop. not anywhere remotely near rock.

The record companies just take any bands they know will sell a lot, no matter how shitty. And, since the majority of teens today like shitty music, they like to take in shitty bands. And it's working, because Simple Plan appears to have a large fanbase.
I just don't understand. It's so pathetic, popular music today. And all of these awesome bands remain unknown and underground, while all these shitty bands are all famous and in the spotlight. It's just so incredibly sad to think about. They don't know what they're missing.

The good bands remain underground so they don't start to suck. Have you ever noticed how when you first get into a band you absolutely love them, then everybody else starts to like them and they sort of lose some of what made you like them in the first place. Like My Chemical Romance. I loved them a lot before and i still sort of do, but when the girl in your brother's 6th grade art class starts singing it cos she heard it on some Clear Channel owned radio station it gets sickening...but she said i rocked so she can't be all bad.

umm..i dont really know how to describe it. it's like any other city, i guess. just double the smokers, drinkers and gay men. yah! lol. it's a really cool place. everyone is pretty much chill and it's very diverse. if you want to come here, come in the summer. there are like 5 million festivals going on and it's really nice.

Me and my friends (the totally punk ones... except i was wearing 'normal people' clothes....cuz im not a punk) were in the city today just doing stuff and there were these three girls wearing total avril lavigne stuff and talking about simple plan but they were acting like they were so "punk"
my friend (lets just say shes a very outgoing person...
) went up to them and started this fite cuz she started totally paying them out... it was so funny to watch cuz they had nothing to say... mwhahaha.

What a relief! I thought the subject meant that you were compairing The Vines with Simple Plan as in which one is better. I was worried for a moment. If anybody has The Vines AND Simple Plan in there music collection....well that would be a sad day.
For the record, Simple Plan makes my skin crawl. I just cant listen to them without wanting to demolish whatever is playing it. What a waste of a record deal!
