It implies that if we don't like the band, it must be so because their bass player is dating Craig and not because we, um, dislike the music or question their choices, as far-fetched as it may sound. It basically says, as I said before, "you're just jealous", aiming to discredit any negative opinion one might have of THEART. It says that the ONLY reason we're hatin' on the band or dislike the band is because KJ happens to be both a member of the band and Craig's girlfriend. That's like saying: "You only listen to The Vines because you think Craig is cute." While there probably are people that do that, you probably know that it's perfectly possible to enjoy the music without masturbating to a photo of Craig at the same time - or in this case, dislike The Follow THEART without using a photo of KJ as your dartboard. We may know of The Follow because of Craig/KJ, but that doesn't mean we dislike them because of Craig/KJ. I first heard of The Music because Craig used to wear their T-shirt a lot and they toured together and all, do you really think I like their music just because OMG Craig likes them?

EDIT THE SECOND: Just to clarify a bit: this isn't about what fangirls do and don't do, this is about lumping all the people that dislike The Follow into the same "I don't care what their music is like, I already know that I hate them because one of them screwed Craig" group.

Kind of. I'm not arguing that the comment is true, and I know it's not for most of the people here. I'm just saying, it doesn't make him/her a hypocrite. Borgy has obviously formed the opinion after reading all the crap about them here, and can you really blame him/her for coming to that conclusion?

I don't think I used the word 'hypocrite' as I think it would be exaggerating to call him that over something so trivial, but he kind of did the same thing he accused people of. He doesn't know much about people's motives for 'hating on' the band, yet the main issue he has with it is that those people supposedly don't know much about them and their music. I don't get why it's wrong to dislike a band until you've listened through their entire backcatalogue or form an opinion on them without knowing them, yet it's perfectly acceptable to diss an entire group of people because of a select bunch of often tongue-in-cheek posts on a forum. I do understand how you can get the impression this whole board is just a bunch of crazy obsessed fangirls that hate everything about KJ within a few degrees of separation, though.

Then you will know that The Vines aren't very news-worthy these days. Even though I google for new articles and news on them in general every single day, there is very little to post here. Continuously complaining how we all talk about his girlfriend too much for your liking isn't going to help things or make news magically appear. And yes, she means with Craig. She also has the Vines in her top ten.

Why can't you just accept the fact they're still together? I'm sure your wish will come true sooner or later, since pretty much "most" relationships fizzle out eventually. The time is just now now, that's all.
